Johnny M. Singleton Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Johnny Singleton, 82, of Surfside Beach, SC passed away on February 1, 2022. Johnny was born on January 1, 1940. He had a successful long-term career including positions at Coburg Dairy and Schaeffer Distributing and past owner of Dr. Pepper Distributing Company of Myrtle Beach and Weezees Professional Cleaning Service. He also was the owner of successful and still thriving retail clothing businesses. He served as an Horry County Commissioner from 1979 – 1982. Johnny was a 32nd degree Mason and a very active member in the Shriners. He also enjoyed RV traveling the U.S. each winter visiting his children and grandchildren. Johnny was preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife of 64 years, Brenda Winburn Singleton of Surfside Beach, SC; his parents, Woodrow Singleton and Ruth Singleton Bruton; and his brother Lavon Singleton. He is survived by; son Woody (Susan) Singleton of Indian Harbour Beach, FL; daughter Lisa (Tom Beauchamp) Singleton of Scottsdale, AZ; Grandchildren Heather (Steve) Rossi of Skaneateles, NY, Krystle (Robert) Bayliss of Kissimmee, FL, Johnny (Jen Eppich) Singleton of Austin, TX, Mandie (Ryan) Coffey of Dubai, UAE, Chase (Shannon) Raines of St. Cloud, FL, and Casey Raines of Orlando, FL. Johnny is also survived by great-children Kendall Tillotson, Averie Tillotson, Cambre Coffey, Kate Coffey, Karis Coffey, and Everett Bayliss; and by his sister Joserria Lambert, brother Russell Bruton (Joann), stepbrother Wallace Bruton, stepsisters Bobbie Jean Doyle and Mary Dyson, and sister-in-law Jackie Singleton. A memorial service will be held at 4:00pm on Monday, February 7th at Oceanside Village Community Center, 2011-2039 Dipper, Myrtle Beach, SC.
