Atlanta... Lathina Singletary, age 55, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2020. On a nice autumn day, a baby girl, Lathina Singletary was born to Pastor James Cuyler and Addie Singletary Sturgis, in Rochester, NY. She was the joy of the late grandparents: Henry B. (Addie) Singletary, Jr. and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Cuyler, Sr.; also, memories always remain for Taylor Singletary, Lathina's daughter, who preceded her to the spiritual realm. Destined to Be Special God allowed her to breathe the first fresh air of the earth and she inhaled the smell of the ocean and other creations of God's world. She fell in love. Lathina, also affectionately known as Tina and Thina Bear grew to enjoy life as she grew up in Rochester and Bayboro (SC); her spiritual life included the Baptist ministry where she enjoyed bible study and embraced the Word of God. As an avid reader, Tina loved the adventure of literature and the gift of seeing the world through books. As Lathina continued her love for reading, she was inspired to become an author. As a lover of the ocean breeze, it was evident that Tina became mesmerized by God's gifts of love. Nature was Tina's passion. Dedication Tina's career started in Richmond VA at a technology plant where she enjoyed the application of scientific knowledge. This fascination led to her entering a radiology school to learn the bases of becoming an X-Ray technician. The supervisory staff recognized Lathina's intellectual abilities and encouraged her to study to become a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technician. After securing the knowledge of understanding digital imaging and the application of technology to diagnose and save lives, Tina was on her way to a career in Healthcare. On the Frontline Tina moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 2008 where she joined the MRI Team at Emory University Hospital (EUH) Midtown. She was known as one of the "BEST" MRI Technicians at EUH.
