Margaret Rorie Sansom

Margaret Rorie Sansom passed away on October 20, 2021 at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach. She was born on July 7, 1962 in Jackson, Tennessee to Mildred and Elvy Rorie Jr., who have since preceded her into Heaven. Margaret grew up in Ripley, Tennessee and was a graduate of Ripley High School. In time, Margaret moved to Nashville where she met the man she would marry, her husband for twenty-six happy years, Bryan. Margaret became a loving stepparent to Bryan Sansom Jr. and Amy Sansom. Years of love and togetherness formed a special bond that could never be broken. In time, Margaret and Bryan's life led them to China where their baby girl Savannah was waiting. It was a journey around the world that brought this family together in a way that can be described best by Margaret who believed they were being given Savannah as a "gift from God, and it was her purpose in life". Every day that followed, Margaret was dedicated to proving God's choice of her. Margaret’s life was a life of love. Love for her family, her husband, and her countless friends. But most of all it was her love of every child in her life, her children, grandchildren, and her nieces and nephews. Margaret is survived by her devoted husband Bryan; her loving children Savannah, Bryan Jr., and Amy; her grandchildren Ezra and Vada; her brother Elvy III, sister Missy, and every niece and nephew that she held so dear. Margaret will be missed by so many every day until we see her again. In a world of pain and sorrow, Margaret was a light to everyone she met. She was love in a world so in need of kindness and love. A memorial service to celebrate Margaret’s life will be held on Friday, October 22, 2021 at 4 PM at Goldfinch Funeral Home in Carolina Forest (325 Hinson Drive, Myrtle Beach, SC 29579). The family will receive friends during a visitation from 3 – 4 PM prior to the service.
