Marianna Dirienzo

July 5, 1931 - December 5, 2020

Surfside Beach…….. Marianna Dirienzo, age 89, after a brief illness, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 5, 2020. She passed peacefully at home. Marianna was born on July 5, 1931 a daughter of Basilio Paoletti and Anna Pfaff in Kansas City, MO. Marianna loved to play Mah Jongg and was an active Red Hatter with the Lady Bugs. She was also active with the Ashton Glen luncheon group. She was preceded in death by her loving son, James Dirienzo. Survivors include her loving and devoted husband of 67 years, Charles; a son, Charles Jr. and his wife, Melody of Fredericksburg, VA; a daughter, Anna Henry and her husband John of Murrells Inlet; a granddaughter, Laura Henry of Baldwinsville, NY, a grandson, Joseph Henry and his wife Ashley of Greenville, SC, a grandson, James Dirienzo and granddaughter, Kaitlin Dirienzo, both of Round Rock, TX. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Michael Catholic Church. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, December 11, 2020 at St. Michael Catholic Church, 542 Cypress Avenue, Murrells Inlet, SC. Inurnment will be held at a later date in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Newtown, CT. The family would like to express heartfelt thanks to the staff of Amedisys Hospice and Home Care; the staff at Tidelands Cancer Center and special thanks to Bonnie Johnson for her loving care.
