Mary Kate Fisher

February 27, 1973 - January 31, 2022

Conway… Mary Kate Fisher, age 48, passed away Monday, January 31, 2022. Mrs. Fisher was born in Mobile, AL on February 27, 1973. She always had a passion for horses. She enjoyed breaking and training them and ran horse breeding farms for many years. Mrs. Fisher was a former nurse and aide and also worked as a 911 Dispatcher with Horry County for several years. She was currently employed with Southern Asphalt as a Roller Operator. Mrs. Fisher was a loving, caring person who was devoted to her family and friends. She was a faithful and devoted daughter, wife, mother, and "MiMi." She was predeceased by her father, Tom Fiocca. Survivors include her husband of 23 years, John Fisher of Conway; one son, Patrick Lanahan of Myrtle Beach; one daughter, Kathleen Fisher of Conway; two grandchildren, Nevaeh Fisher and Braydon Smith both of Conway; her mother, Carol Dees (Jim) of Hampton, VA; mother and father, Jane and Stan Orr of Sandwich, IL; one sister, Joanna Dees (Aaron Bobik) of Washington, DC; two brothers, Ryan Orr and Collin Orr (Jordan) all of Sandwich, IL; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, February 11, 2022 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel with Rev. John Holmes officiating.
