Maxine B. Jacobs Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Maxine B. Jacobs, age 70, passed away Monday, October 03, 2016 at McLeod Loris Hospital. Mrs. Jacobs was born in Conway, SC, a daughter of the late Grier Mack Brown and Hazel Katherine Woodbury Brown. Prior to her retirement, she was employed for more than 32 years with Days Inn Inc. Mrs. Jacobs hobbies included spending time in her garden and fishing. Mrs. Jacobs is the loving mother of her only child; Mack H. Jacobs of Loris. She is also survived by her sister, Linda Butler of Hamlet, NC; her sister-in-law, Joyce Ann Whidby of Conway; her three nephews, Richard Whidby and his wife, Dr. Denise Whidby, of Myrtle Beach, Ronad Whidby and his wife, Patsy, of Conway, Alan Butler of Hamlet, NC; and her niece, Karen Butler of Hamlet, NC. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, October 06, 2016 at Hillcrest Mausoleum Chapel. A private entombment will follow. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at Hillcrest Mausoleum Chapel. Memorials may be sent to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 950 W.
