Mitsuko Mary Klein

Mitsuko Mary Klein, beloved wife of the late Paul Harry Klein, of Conway, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Regency Hospital of Florence. Born in Gushikawa, Okinawa, she was the daughter of the late Kama and Masako (Kaneshiro) Nakandakari. Surviving Mitsuko is a son, Toshio Klein and his wife Lisa of Spartanburg, SC; 2 daughters: Mary Klein-Tijero and her husband David of Conway, SC and Joy Klein of Myrtle Beach ; granddaughter, Mina Klein of Myrtle Beach and 4 cousins: Miyoko, Chieko, Seishin and Seichi of Okinawa, Japan also survive. Mitsuko in Japanese means “Light”. Mitsuko is the light of her family. She loved to crochet, hold babies as well as getting and giving hugs. She never liked saying goodbye, it was always “see you later.” Her last bit of wisdom to everyone was: Be Good. Services for Mitsuko will be held at St. Michaels Catholic Church. Inurnment will be at Florence National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Mitsuko’s name to St. Michaels Catholic Church, 542 Cypress Ave., Murrells Inlet, SC 29576 or the VFW, Department of South Carolina, 210 Glassmaster Road, Lexington, SC 29072. A faithful woman, Mitsuko prayed for everyone daily. Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
