Stacey Nicole Beckham
March 4, 2022
Stacey Nicole Beckham passed in the comfort of her home on March 4, 2022, surrounded by family and her devoted caregivers. Not a minute passed in which Stacey did not prove her strength over struggles through a debilitating disease and brain injury. She won those battles by trusting in her Lord. Stacey seeked "Sonshine", finding the greatest reward of Life Eternal. Throughout Stacey's life she had a passion for her faith and a devotion to her family. She was thee definition of "True Blue." Stacey had a deep commitment and devotion to her church. She had a huge heart for animals whether it was her bunnies, dogs or cats, they all brought such joy to her heart. Stacey enjoyed music and loved sunbathing in the backyard by the river. She was very social and enjoyed hosting friends and family at parties she hosted with her cousin, Frankie, at their juke joint they created in their backyard by the river called 'The Fig & Magnolia River and Blues Club.' Stacey enjoyed her daily episodes of Dr. Phil and would say each night "Time to remind ourselves how normal we are!", before starting an episode. Stacey was a walking encyclopedia of movie one liners and loved to interject them into conversations with stealth precision. Stacey enjoyed being outdoors even though she would have to yell at Frankie "Put that snake down!" and "Why are you chasing that alligator down the river?!" On hot summer days she enjoyed lounging on a tube in the river watching all the boats go by and waving to friends as they passed on the water. Stacey would take the time to walk nightly with her mother where they enjoyed conversations about life; some talks her mom would have to deliver while looking behind her as Stacey was quick to remind her "I told you I'm not walking at your pace, Mom!" Stacey loved spending time with her cousins and friends, and she had an infectious smile and well desired laugh. She had a strong faith in God and would do Upper Room devotionals every morning before starting her day. Stacey was well known and loved by many. Stacey enjoyed her work life, and the occupation she enjoyed the most was at a veterinary clinic when she resided in Las Vegas. She was loved by all the animals and staff and was regarded very highly by the head veterinarian, Dr. Nave. Upon her return to Myrtle Beach Stacey was employed in the medical field. Stacey is survived by her mother, Sharon Beckham Lowe, her stepfather Anthony Paul Lowe, her sister Stephanie Beckham Hensell, her paternal Grandmother Anne Bell Beckham, and countless cousins, aunts and uncles. She is predeceased by her father John Dewey Beckham, her paternal grandfather Frank Morgan Beckham, III, her maternal Grandmother Helen Owens Christopher, and her maternal Grandfather James H. Christopher (Chris). A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 12., 2022 at Socastee United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Duke University Medical Center in memory of Stacey.
