Theodore "Ted" Wright Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Theodore (Ted) Wright of Myrtle Beach SC passed away on December 9th at the age 67. He is survived by loving wife Nancy Kay Wright, her daughter Crystal and husband Larry Fairclouth, and grandchildren Kaylee Jackson, Patrick and Alexis Fairclouth; and daughter Kimberly Griggs and husband Jerry and children Jerry Jr., Seth, Blake, Hailey and little Emma; sister Darlene, brother-in-law Dave Waterfield, niece Jennifer and husband Brian Gentry, children Austin and Landon; Nephew Jason and wife Mary Gail Waterfield, children Aidan and Kayla; Niece Pamela and husband James Brennan, children Brycen and Emme. Ted worked at the U.S. Post Office and then had a long career with Washington Gas Company where he worked in the Accounting Department and then moved to the Security Department. The group was responsible for building security as well as remote sites. He was also involved in training preparation in case of attacks against the infrastructure of the Gas Company. Ted was in the first class of the Fairfax County Police Auxiliary in 1983 and continued his service there until 1998. He loved serving his community in this capacity, he also did First Aid and CPR Training. He enjoyed volunteering for many community events including Special Olympics, he was also involved in many car clubs and formed several clubs in various places he lived. Cars were his true passion his entire life. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Generations Church, 4019 Executive Park Blvd. SE, Southport, NC 28461.
