Anthony Moye

Anthony Moye, age 70, of Murrells Inlet, SC, unexpectedly passed away on Friday, September 4, 2026, at Grand Strand Medical Center. Born in Manhattan, New York, and raised in The Bronx, Anthony was the son of the late Secundino and Emilia Moye. Throughout his life, Anthony was known for his dedication to his family, his country, and the people and organizations he cared about. Anthony dedicated 40 years of service to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan, where he served as Development Director. He also proudly served his country for 33 years in the United States Air Force Reserve with the 514th Military Airlift Wing at McGuire Air Force Base New Jersey. During his military career, he served as a C-141 aircraft mechanic and First Sergeant and participated in Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation Southern Watch. Anthony was a member of the New York Wing of the Civil Air Patrol, as well as the Elks Lodge of Murrells Inlet, VFW of Murrells Inlet, and the South Strand Veterans Golf Team. While Anthony took great pride in his career and military service, his greatest joy was his family, especially his grandchildren. He cherished the time he spent with Antonio and Emilia, and being their grandfather was one of the most meaningful roles in his life. He was proud of them and treasured watching them grow, making memories with them that will remain with his family for years to come. Anthony will be deeply missed by his long-time companion, Susan Gean; his son, Christopher Moye, and his wife, Christina Moye; his beloved grandchildren, Antonio Moye and Emilia Moye; his niece, Diana Trerotola (Michael), and their daughter, Elizabeth; and his nephew, Hector Moyet Jr. (Elba). He is predeceased by his brothers, Hector Moyet and Victor Erazo. Anthony leaves behind a lifetime of service, countless friendships, and, most importantly, a family who loved him dearly. His memory will live on through his son, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and all those whose lives he touched. A graveside service will be held at a later date in New Jersey. Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel, is serving the family.
