Curtis Lee Grubb, born on August 22nd, 1939, in West Virginia and a resident of Surfside Beach, SC, passed away, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, intelligence, and adventure. Curt entered the Air Force in 1957, serving honorably until 1960, including over a year overseas. He achieved the rank of Airman Second Class and proudly graduated from Johns Hopkins University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in 1968. Curt was known for his quiet nature, sharp intellect, and adventurous spirit. He was always a welcoming presence, never rushed, and embraced every situation with joy. His heart was full of love, and he left a lasting impression on everyone he met. After his military service, Curt dedicated his life to his family and his career. He wore many hats throughout his life; he had an esteemed career with IBM, retiring in 1996. He was a realtor, a wicker furniture store owner, and as an honorary black belt, he taught karate to name a few. Curt's love for adventure was evident in his numerous hobbies and interests. He enjoyed traveling, exploring new places, and experiencing different cultures. His stories were always captivating and detailed, making you feel like you were part of the original experience. Curt was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Loraine Grubb; his parents, Homer Lee Grubb and Lucy Grubb; his step-daughter, Patty Karstaedt; and the mother of his children, Patricia Winddancer. He is survived by his children, Scott Grubb and Terree Grubb, as well as his step-sons, Randolph Crnkovic (Lucy), Eric Crnkovic, and Raymond Crnkovic (Monika). His grandchildren, Tyler Grubb, Sherree Turcott, Billy Brown, Angela Crnkovic, Brandy Blackwell, Randall Crnkovic, Peter Karstaedt, and Nathan Karstaedt, along with many great-grandchildren, will also cherish his memory. Curt's presence will be deeply missed by many. He was a man of integrity, compassion, and wisdom, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. His impact on the lives of his family, friends, and community is indelible, and his memory will be treasured forever. Curt's life was a true testament to the values of love, kindness, and perseverance, and he will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
