Myrtle Beach- Mr. Harry Riley, 83, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at his home. He was born on September 13, 1942 in Mt. Holly, New Jersey, to parents Harry Riley and Mary Middleton Riley. Mr. Harry Riley leaves behind a legacy of energy, humor, and wholehearted enthusiasm for the outdoors, athletics, and a career well lived. He was a devoted sportsman, and a respected advertising executive whose larger-than-life presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Harry had a lifelong love of the outdoors. Whether he was fishing, golfing with friends, skiing down a snowy slope, or duck and pheasant hunting, he felt most at home in nature. An exceptional athlete from a young age, Harry loved playing tennis, football, running track, and baseball. His competitive spirit and natural athleticism defined much of his youth and remained with him throughout his life. Harry proudly served his country in the Army National Guard for six years, stationed at Fort Dix. Following college and his military service, Harry built a distinguished career in advertising. As a Madison Avenue Advertising executive in New York, he brought creativity and drive to every campaign. He worked closely with Meredith Corporation, contributing to publications including Better Homes and Gardens, and collaborated with the magazine division of The New York Times. Harry is survived by his children, Christopher Riley, Melissa (John Wagner) Riley; grandchildren, Emma Wagner, Kaleigh Wagner, Logan Wagner; loving partner, Patricia Porter; former wife Dianne Riley; sister Karen (Cecil) Turnbow; nieces and nephew, Heather (Raghu) Turnbow, Courtney (Michael) Towne, Erin (Dennis) Kessler, Stephen Riley; great-nieces and nephews, Haley Towne, Riley Towne, Greyson Kessler, and Ainsleigh Kessler. He is predeceased by his parents Harry C. Riley, and Mary Middleton Riley; and his brother Stephen Riley. Harry will be remembered for his quick wit, competitive spirit, and unwavering love for his family, friends, and the great outdoors.
