A memorial service for Jacqueline Huff Browder,87, will be held at Saint Paul's Anglican Church in Conway, SC February 3rd at 12:00 with the Reverand Jason Collins officiating. A visitation in the church parish hall will be before the service. Friends and family are invited to visit with the family between 10:00 am and 11:30 am. Jacqueline, known as Jack, Mama, Nana, Nana Jack, and Miss Jackie died from a short illness at her home with her family around her. She was born April 20, 1936 in Columbia, SC. She was the daughter of Royce and Marie Jackson Huff. She was predeceased by her parents, sisters Joyce Huff Hicks and Norma Jean Huff Segars, a daughter Catherine M. Browder, and a former husband Donald M. Browder. She is survived by two daughters, Norma Jeanne Browder and Lisa Browder Bennett, a son, Donald William Browder, and a very much loved daughter in- law Melani Jho Browder (Jody). Four fine grandsons, William Matthew Bennett, Benjamin David Browder (Courtney), Daniel Hagin Browder (Erica), and Adam Jacobs Bennett, two great grandchildren, Alex and Harper, many nieces and nephews and children of the heart especially Beth and Curtis Gaskins, Chelsea and Brett Bendt, Beau and Perry Bendt as well as Jimmy Hardee. Jacqueline graduated from Olympia High School and Columbia Beauty School. She worked in salons in Columbia before moving to Conway, SC where she and her husband opened Mert's Beauty Supply. Later she opened Carolina College of Cosmetology where she spent many years enjoying teaching and providing services to many people. Jackie loved the Lord and was active in her church (Saint Paul's) where she served on the vestry, the altar guild, she was a charter member of The Daughters of the King Women at the Well chapter as well Cursillo of SC in the Grand Strand Ultreya. She was a former member of the American Business Women - Conway Chapter. as well as the SC School Owners of Cosmetology where she served in many positions. She along with several friends formed a group to advocate for the mentally handicapped that grew to be Horry County's Department of Dis abilities and Special Needs where she served on the board in many capacities for many years. Jackie loved her family, friends, and church, in lieu of flowers, please remember her with a memorial to Saint Paul's Church 710 Main Street Conway, SC 29526.
