Kristin Daly Lane Kort of Pawleys Island, SC passed away on August 2nd. She was 30. She was born in Greensboro, North Carolina on June 20, 1980. Kristin was raised in her beloved town of Pawleys Island, with sand between her toes. Her love of the coastal beauty was evident in everything she became. Kristin graduated from Waccamaw High School in 1998. She attended the College of Charleston and graduated in 2002 with a BA in Business Administration. Kristin spent two years in Birmingham, Alabama as a production assistant for HEALTH magazine and a start team member for Cottage Living Magazine. Even though her career was flourishing, she longed for home. Upon return, Kristin courageously began her own business KDL Photography, Take a Peek Virtual Tours in 2005. Her pictures revealed the beauty with which she saw the world. Kristin soon became a well known and respected member of the business community. Kristin's greatest joy in life was meeting and marrying "The One Whom My Soul Loves," Sean Allen Kort. They were wed on May 30, 2009, and enjoyed one blissful year of marriage. Kristin's love for the Lord was evident in every aspect of her being. She served in many capacities at All Saints Church, Pawleys. Kristin's joy in life came from making others happy. Her bright blue eyes always lit up every room and her zest for life was contagious. Kristin is survived by her husband, Sean Allen Kort; father David Michael Lane and mother Martha Daly Lane; sisters Elizabeth Ruth Lane and Katherine Lane Bellamy and her husband Scott; brother David Michael Lane Jr.; grandmother Josephine Floyd Lane; grandfather Dr. Roswald Bernard Daly; mother-in-law Mary Katherine Purvis; father-in-law Regis Henry Kort and his wife Donna; brother-in-law Michael Regis Kort; grandfather-in-law Kenneth Leroy Purvis; great grandmother-in-law Dorothy Geyer Purvis. Visitation with friends and family will be held Thursday, August 5th from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Litchfield-Pawleys Island Chapel, 202 Hinnant Lane. A service in Celebration of Life is to be held at 10 am Friday, August 6th at All Saints Church, 3560 Kings River Road, Pawleys Island. Although Kristin's life would seem too short to many, those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives.
