Conway, SC… Vaelyn Mya Hunt August 29, 2023 – June 9, 2026 With immeasurable love and profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Vaelyn Mya Hunt, age 2, on Tuesday, June 9, 2026. Born on August 29, 2023, in Vancouver, Washington, Vaelyn brought light, laughter, and joy everywhere she went. Though her time here was far too short, the love she shared and the lives she touched will endure forever. Vaelyn was an extraordinary little girl whose bright spirit could fill any room. She possessed a remarkable intelligence beyond her years, astonishing those around her with how quickly she learned and understood the world. She loved music, singing along to her favorite songs, and spending her days watching Ms. Rachel and Cocomelon. Her sweet voice, infectious smile, and curious mind were gifts to everyone who knew her. Above all else, Vaelyn treasured her family. She shared an unbreakable bond with her twin sister, Varity. The two were inseparable companions, best friends, and two halves of a beautiful whole. Their love for one another was pure, constant, and filled with the kind of connection that only twins can know. Through every laugh, every adventure, and every cherished memory, they were side by side. Vaelyn was deeply loved and will be remembered for her gentle heart, her radiant smile, her incredible intelligence, and the happiness she brought into the lives of those around her. Though she was only with us for a brief moment in time, her impact is immeasurable. She leaves behind a lifetime of memories and a love that will never fade. Vaelyn is survived by her loving mother, Destiny Pyles of Conway, South Carolina; her father, Matthew Hunt of Charleston, South Carolina; her siblings, Rowyn "Bubby" Hunt, Rynlee "Sissy" Hunt, her beloved twin sister, Varity Hunt, Matthew "MJ" Hunt, Jr., and Nico Garnica; her maternal grandparents, James and Susan Pyles of Conway, South Carolina, and Samantha and Dan Cross of Florida; her paternal grandparents, Jacelyn Cooper and Christopher Hunt of Raleigh, North Carolina; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and loved ones who will carry her memory in their hearts forever. Though our hearts ache in her absence, we find comfort in knowing that love does not end. Vaelyn's laughter, her songs, her beautiful spirit, and the joy she brought to this world will live on in the hearts of all who loved her. She will be missed beyond measure and remembered every day. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel, with Rev. David Stevens officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
